Let's say "Thank You" to our Red Wings!
No more cheering from the JLA,
A five year run, we've had it all,
So the glory days are over,
And raise our voices up,
In grateful admiration,
For two years with the Cup.
The rafters hear no sound.
But when October gets here,
The faithful come around. 
With victories and defeat.
The tragedy, then recovery,
They never skipped a beat. 
For now our race is run.
Let's remember that our Red Wings
Are truly next to none. 
And let no one criticize,
Or shed a tear, or frown.
For no where else on earth can they say,
"Hey, Hey Hockeytown!" 
Let no one try to lay the blame,
It's the way it was meant to be.
For we shall love our Red Wings,
For all eternity.
